A habit that most northerners do have is everytime they went back to hometown is to visit the 'border'. For orang Perlis they wll visit Padang Besar, orang Kedah will visit Bukit Kayu Hitam, orang Perak will go to Betong and orang Kelantan to Golok. Here we can buy a lot of things that includes 'orang'.

But most families will buy sundry and goods plus clothings. Of course they are cheaper and available here.

On the way back , dropped by at one of my friends place at Balai Baru, Beseri. Tuan Haji Che Buhanudiin Che Yob is one of my school mate since priimary and secondary. We were in the same class from standard one to standard six and also went to MRSM PC together. A Civil Engineer by profession and is now a wealthy business man. Again dropped by at another friend's place at Padang Pauh but Tuan Kamaruddin Ali was away on business, anyway we managed to contact only thru the phone (good enough, I guess).

My last call for the day was at my sister's place at Taman Bintong Jaya, Bintong as night I had another meeting at Holiday Villa, Alor Setar. Served with the usual Malay dishes, I took off to Alor Setar after leaving my auntie at her place. During this time one of my former student of WT, Mr Rahman Omar dropped by for refreshment and few fags of Gudang Garam.

Took off at 5.30 pm and believe me a normal 1 hour to Alor Setar from Kangar took us 2 1/2 hours as the traffic were one of the worst I encountered. I reached my in-laws place at Taman Derga Jaya, Jalan Teluk Kumbar at almost 8.10 pm. Had to hurry, quickly took my bath and wearing the same dress today off to Holiday Villa to meet  few long lost friends. This meeting was supposed to be on the 2nd of Hari Raya but was postponed to the 3rd Hari Raya by the organiser (but who cares, a meet is a meet).
