Tommorow, Sep 20, 2009 will be Aidilfitri 2009 celebration. And today was declared a public holiday for Ministry of Education staff (was announced by the Deputy PM cum Ministry of Education Minister). As usual I will sleep today before leaving for kampung. By 5.00 pm, it was raining heaviliy in Segambut but since all were packed and ready, so by 5.05 pm we were on my 'little elephant' shooting of to the north destination (but this time without Nur Aliyah).

Took the old route as it will be less traffic but the rain had slowed downed the trip (alhamdulillah anyway as we would be driving more carefully). By 7.00pm we were already in Bidor but the Bidor Mosque still under maitainance and by 7.15pm we 'berbuka' inside the little elephant. Again drove carefullly and slowly and reached Tapah Mosque at about 7.45 pm, alhamdulillah but drizzling still there. All of us performed the Maghrib/Isya prayers (of course Jama' prayers) before we had our dinner.

 

 

 

8.25 pm  still the confirmation of Aidilfitri 2009 was not known. But come 8.30pm, one of the AJK Masjid came by and told us that Sep 20, 2009 is Aidilfitri 2009. So the takbir were said and soon after Isya we took off. Met Tuan Azman Mohd Yusoff and family also on the way back to Penang. Met them again on the way to Ipoh.  Stiil raining and journey still far, had to continue and alhamdulillah the weather changed on the way to Ipoh but still driving carefully, had to take the PLUS Express as the traffic were seen growing in numbers. By 10.00 pm made a call to my brother in Permatang Pauh. So decision was made , 1st Aidillfitri 2009 in Permatang Tengah. By 11.45pm, alhamdulillah reached Permatang Pauh and ready for the celebration. Allahuakbar, Allahuakbar, Allahuakbar !
